The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee for a standard 45-60 minute session with a Registered Psychologist is currently $300.

***You can receive a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session, for up to 10 sessions each Calendar year with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

  • Please note we do not provide Medicare bulk billing services, however, if you have a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan you will be entitled to a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session with a registered psychologist for up to 10 sessions within a calendar year.

    You will need to visit your GP to discuss a referral under a Mental Health Care Plan.

    You are welcome to see a psychologist without a referral; you only need a Mental Health Care Plan and referral if you wish to claim Medicare benefits.

  • If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, this will be provided after we receive your referral and Mental Health Care Plan.

    Referral and Mental Health Care Plan Can be Submitted via email to hopehealpsychology@outlook.com.

    If you are claiming through private health insurance, we will provide a tax receipt at the end of each session for you to submit your claim.

  • Session fees are required to be paid in full at the conclusion of the appointment by stored credit/debit card details. Your credit/debit card information will be obtained as part of the client intake process and stored securely in our online software.

  • All clients can cancel their appointment free of charge up to 48 hours before it is scheduled to begin.

    If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of the start time, or if you do not attend the appointment, you will be charged 50% of the total session fee.

Please note that all cancellations must be received during business hours. If you cancel after 5pm, or on a weekend, your fee will be based on the next business day.

    Receiving psychological therapy is an important matter and you should only ever miss an appointment in the case of a legitimate emergency or serious illness. If either of those applies to you in the future, please contact Hope & Heal Psychology via email as soon as possible.

    **Medicare and private health rebates can not be applied to cancellation/no show fees.

    **All cancellation fees must be paid prior to future appointments.

  • If you have obtained a workplace injury you may be entitled to Psychological services as part of the worker’s compensation scheme.

    Natasha is WorkCover (SIRA) approved which means if your GP recommends Psychological services as part of your treatment in relation to your injury, these services are available to support you to achieve a safe recovery at work.

    To access funded services, you will need to obtain a Work Cover medical certificate from your GP recommending that you see a Psychologist and provide written approval from your insurance agency.

  • Many private health insurers offer rebates and benefits for psychology services.

    If your insurer covers you under ‘extras cover’ you may be entitled to a rebate. You will need to check with your insurer what type of cover you have and what benefits and rebates you are eligible for.

    Private Health Insurance cannot be processed directly via the third party. However, if you have third party funding approval, we are able to issue you with an invoice and receipt so that you can claim the costs back through the third party.

  • Hope & Heal Psychology offers NDIS-funded psychological counselling and therapy for adults.

  • Your workplace may offer an employee assistance program which entitles employees to access free psychological services for support with work or non-work related issues. Speak directly with your Employer to find out if this applies to you. If you are accessing therapy through your EAP, you will not require a referral from your GP.

  • Letters and reports attract a fee commensurate with the APS Recommended Fees (currently set at $300+GST per hour).

    Please note that we do not provide letters/reports for court.

    There is no charge for standard Medicare reports which are considered a normal component of treatment.
